"Following an accident my wife and I were involved in we moved to a bungalow in a rural village. The bungalow however had several wheelchair challenges.
The project brief was to provide: level access from outside (including several 100 tonnes of imported fill), double garage, therapy room, kitchen extension, widening of corridors, provision of utility room, underfloor heating (ceiling lifted to accommodate loss in height) and installation of wheelchair accessible kitchen and specialist bathroom.
The whole project was due to take over 7 months to complete but initial design chances, some by client choice and some due to unknown complications plus the Covid19 enforced restrictions, meant the project took 12 months to complete. Kristan and Misura however tackled these challenges without complaint but with enthusiasm and professionalism to keep the project moving forward.
The most impressive thing about Misura has been the quality of workmanship and the speed at which any minor snags have been rectified. Kristan has been accommodating throughout and is always at the end of the phone if we need help even after the project has finished.
I would definitely recommend Kristan and Misura to anyone else who has found themselves in a similar position to myself, needing massive alterations to their home to accommodate their disability."
"Pond Granary dates back to the 1700's and in former times provided the grain store, threshing barn and standings for the shire horses that worked the land on the Grove Estate which was largely demolished 1940's. Our brief to Misura was to retain and enhance key features, whilst sympathetically providing comfortable, modern living amenities. We opted for a large bathroom with freestanding bath, shower arranged within brick columns, beams and interior window. We also chose an additional shower room set in the sloping eaves. The building enjoys fabulous views in both aspects from the raised gallery in the centre of the open plan two storey barn. The kitchen is modern with custom sprayed tangerine units, solid wood worktops and a stunning slab of D Angelo marble for kitchen get-togethers. A brick opening in the former external wall now rendered to reveal its authentic construction leads into a large beamed living area. The windows and doors are solid hardwood with large expanses of glass to provide light and views of the former courtyard and open farmland. This is our second renovation project with Kristan and his team which illustrates the bond we have developed through the many challenges a renovation can reveal. We have every confidence in his vast expertise and knowledge which he is happy to share but never to impose. We have one more project in mind and without doubt Misura will lead that too!."
"Misura managed out project from start to finish. I met with Kris and laid out what I thought we wanted and Kris advised me on the different options and costs involved in each. We eventually came to a decision on a design and Misura dealt with planning permission on my behalf, even dealing with neighbour queries and helped to come to compromises that please all involved. The work began on time and was managed well throughout. When issues cropped up, they were dealt with in a timely manner, and we were kept informed at all stages. All of the trades worked well, and were extremely professional. Kris went out of his way to ensure we were happy with the finished product and dealt with any snags quickly. The need for aftercare has been minimal but has always been dealt with swiftly. I can do nothing more than recommend Misura to anyone who wants a professional service and quality end product at a reasonable price."
